I am so excited to end the year with UrbanMamaSong's First Giveaway. I read Baby Love: Choosing Motherhood After A Lifetime of Ambivalence" by Mama/ Writer Rebecca Walker earlier this year and when asked to recommend a good book on mothering, I immediately think of this one. Rebecca's story both mirrored my own in some ways and gave me insight into the thoughts, questions, contradictions, concerns and, above all, the joys that come with choosing motherhood. Rebecca doesn't paint a rosy picture of her entry into motherhood. What she gives is loving, moving and real.
And so, to share this great book with you, for our first giveaway, I will be giving away two copies of Baby Love! Yes, two of you have a chance to win!

So Mama, You Want To Live Your Creative Dream...
On yesterday, I hosted my first workshop called "So Mama, You Want to Live Your Creative Dream." It is a workshop that I was inspired to create with the intention of supporting other mothers in birthing their creative dreams. I was hesitant and nervous about doing it for various reasons, but decided not to allow those reasons to stop me. And I am glad that I didn't. I was fed on so many levels.

The day ended up being magical for me. I gave and received lots of love, laughter, information and feedback that has been invaluable. Now, the next big project I'm facing is our move to Boston. Once I am settled, there will be more updates, more music, and more magic!
Please feel free to browse through the urbanmamasong archives. There will be LOTS of happenings in 2010. So come back. Tell your friends.
May you have a safe and fruitful holiday!
All love,
GaBrilla
